Why should I get involved?
Our PTA is run by volunteers for the benefit of our children and their school. With regular cuts to government funding, schools in general are becoming increasingly dependent on PTAs for help to pay for equipment and facilities.
By running the Copford PTA as a registered charity, we ensure the monies raised goes directly back into the school to provide much needed items that will enrich our children’s education. PTA Committee members and headteacher David Bome, decide how the monies raised should be spent, having previously consulted with the wider PTA. Don’t ignore your opportunity to get involved and have your say.
Does your company operate a matched giving scheme?
Many companies offer ‘matched giving’ to their employees - meaning that if you raise funds for our school, they will also donate funds. This can mean that if you help out at a particular event - maybe you help run a stall at the Summer Enterprise Fair or organise the raffle at the Christmas Fair - the company will ‘match’ what that event or staff raises. Please speak to your Charity/Community/Sustainability representative or someone in HR about whether this is something your company does. It could mean even more money to spend on our school.
